Ashes to Pencils ......

240.
That is the approx. number of pencils that can be made from the cremated remains of an average size individual. Artist, Nadine Jarvis, has developed this conceptual idea as a way for an individual to be kept alive.  The pencils are kept in a box where they are dispensed one at a time. The box also includes a sharpener and all the shavings are collected in the box.

And what better way to use those pencils than to do a pencil drawing of the deceased!

I'm sorry but I draw the line at that! Draw the line -- git it? Git it? *snort*

This is very interesting and something I would consider. It does bring up so many questions though. Pretty sure I wouldn't want to end up in the hands of a 5 year old that likes to scribble on walls. I can hear that conversation, "Shame on you Suzie for drawing on the wall with Granny!" LOL

That's mad!!! I was going to post about some recycled newpaper pencils I came across this evening but decided to put it off till another night. It just seems so tame now after reading that! I think I'd like to be a pencil :)

This is cooly insane! And SO many things come to mind. .more than what I'll share here! lol

My Grammie was an extremely talented artist, so if I were to draw on the wall with her, it would probably become a valuable mural. :-)

And if anyone were to try and draw, using me, I hope that they wouldn't expect to draw a straight line, because I've never been able to do so. .I doubt that my ashes would suddenly develop that talent. .but oh, the loops, swirls and flourishes they would have! Hang on for the ride of your life!! lol
