Is Sasquatch a SLIder?

Bigfoot Festival, Honobia, Oklahoma
Is Sasquatch a SLIder?

What is a SLIder you ask?  A SLIder is someone who has strange phenomenon occur, particularly to electrical devices, while in their presence. This can include, but is not limited to -

  • Appliances such as lamps or TV's go on and off without being touched.
  • Light bulbs constantly blow when a SLIder tries to turn a light on or off.
  • Volume levels on TV's, radios, or stereos change on their own.
  • Wrist watches stop working.
  • Children's electronic toys start by themselves whenever a SLIder is present.
  • Credit Cards and other magnetically encoded cards are damaged or erased when in a SLIder's possession.
  • Cell phones calls will be interrupted by static or the call will be dropped.
  • Street lights will turn off when a SLIder is near and then turn themselves back on after the SLIder has passed by.
  • Photographic equipment may malfunction or photographs will look bleached out or be out of focus.
  • Computers will malfunction - freeze or reboot on their own.

The term SLIder stands for Street Light Interference. This phenomenon was first noticed occurring to street lights, probably because street lights were among some of the first electrical devices among the public.
What causes these strange occurrences to happen? It is speculated that this effect might be caused by electronic impulses in the brain. All of our thoughts and movements are the result of electrical impulses generated by the brain. These electrical impulses travel back and forth through a person's nerves, spinal cord and brain and in turn generate an electromagnetic field. Something every person has. Most SLIders seem to have an unusually strong electromagnetic field. Could these electrical impulses also affect things outside the body?

British researcher, Hilary Evans compiled hundreds of reports of SLIder interference. These reports can be found in his book, SLIders: The Enigma of Streetlight Interference . Through these reports, Evans determined that SLI is not a conscious action, but appears to occur when the SLIder is in an extreme emotional state (extreme anger and extreme sadness being the top two emotions felt). It's possible that this extreme emotional state creates an excess amount of (electrical) energy which in turn may travel through the air (ether) and interfere with the electromagnetic field of an electronic item.

Formal studies have not been done - the scientific community has a hard time believing in something which cannot be seen. But many researchers of the unknown feel that the energy of a location (geomagnetic/geo-electrical/vibrational) can enhance the phenomenon and even amplify a person's electromagnetic field, thus causing the SLI effect to be stronger and occur more frequently.

Now, back to Sasquatch.

Many researchers have found that trail cameras (a.k.a. game cameras) will malfunction when placed in areas with known or suspected Sasquatch activity. Pictures taken on trail cameras will often appear white (or 'bleached out') or be of an unusual color. Date and time stamps will read incorrectly or batteries will go dead unusually fast. Videos taken will also have unusual portions - similar to what happens with trail cam photos.

People who have interacted with Sasquatch report unusual electrical activity. Anything from static electricity in the air to the feel of a jolt of electricity running through a person's body. What if Sasquatch is able to access the electrical energy created by his own body and project that electromagnetic field outwards, causing electrical devices to malfunction? Or perhaps even to disorient his prey so that he may get a meal? There are humans who are able to do this - project their 'energy' outwards. Have you ever been in a group of people when you just 'knew' someone had arrived without actually seeing him or her? You were picking up on that person's energy as they entered the room.

The movie, OHMAWING, addresses this 'electrical phenomenon' associated with Sasquatch.

Many researchers report that Sasquatch activity lessens when trail cameras or auditory recording devices are put in place. Could the same electrical ability which Sasquatch uses to disable electronics make him sensitive to the electric fields generated by those devices? Thus allowing him to avoid areas where cameras are located? There are humans who are sensitive to electrical fields generated by various household devices as well as cell towers and high voltage power lines.

Many animals are sensitive to the earth's magnetic fields and use that ability to guide them in their migrations. If we humans weren't bombarded by the various sources of electrical/magnetic interference in the ether, would we not also be better 'in tune' to the Earth's energies around us?

Weird Wednesday ~ Fountain of Youth

Researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine have discovered a secret which vampires have known for centuries. That young blood rejuvenates.
When older mice were infused with the blood of younger mice, the older mice grew more nerve cells in their brains and became more adept at navigating mazes.
This has huge implications for those who have Alzheimer's.

Weird Wednesday ~ The color of Winter Trees

* * *  Today's post is weird fun rather than weird serious or weird strange.

What better way to bring a multitude of smiles to a dreary winter day than to 'paint' rainbows in the forest. Over at Dilly-Dali Art, this exact thing has been done using water soaked chalk. (Be sure to hop on over there to check out this great post!)

The chalk was used to draw on the tree and then the chalk was painted with water to soften the look.

Weird Wednesday ~ Cobweb Clothing

Zheng Xianwen, a known television broadcaster and TV journalist, has made a shawl out of real spider webs. Xianwen used 300 spider webs to complete his shawl which honors ancient cultural traditions of the Kucong Tribe in China.

As a senior reporter of the Simao Television, a local TV broadcaster in southwestern part of Yunnan, Zheng Xianwen has also developed a longstanding interest in the life and culture of Kucong tribe, an ethnic minority neighboring his region in the province. According to Zheng, Kucong people were so poor in the past and their clothes were mostly made of cobwebs and banana trees leaves. However, such techniques are on the brink of extinction nowadays as making cobweb clothes is barely seen around anymore. Even younger Kucong people don’t even know about the existence of the once popular special clothes among their ancestor.
Zheng once worked in the region in the 1960′s and bore a strong sense of keeping the rare techniques of cobweb clothing making handed down. According to the amateur collector, his only collection of spiderweb clothing made of 300 cobwebs took him two days to finish during his designed trip to the Kucong tribe last November. In addition to the cobweb clothes, Zheng has also collected many living tools once used by the ethnic tribe. Zheng has not let anyone in on the ancient clothing-making secrets.

Weird Wednesday ~ UFO's over Colorado

Recent UFO's in the Colorado News .......

Close Call at 8,000ft. over Denver

An unidentified flying object reported in the Denver area last week did not appear on radar, but nearly collided with a private jet at 8,000 feet above Cherry Creek.
In an audio recording from the jet cockpit, a pilot can be heard telling air traffic officials, "[I] don't know if it was a remote controlled aircraft or what, but something just went by the other way. About 20-30 seconds ago... And it was like a large remote controlled aircraft.
The corporate jet, a Cessna Citation 525 CJ1, was flying at 8,000 feet above sea level over Cherry Creek when the mystery object came close enough to make any pilot nervous.
Former NTSB Investigator and 9NEWS Aviation Analyst Greg Feith listened to the air traffic recordings and believes the object could be one of three things:
- A military or law enforcement drone.
- A remote controlled aircraft.
- A large bird.
"Was this an unmanned vehicle that was part of some sort of law enforcement operation? Was this somebody that had flown a large model aircraft inadvertently into the airspace? Or was it just [a bird that] caught the pilot's eye so he believed it was an aircraft but could have been a very large wing span bird," Feith said.

Mystery Lights over Lafayette
In March 2011 three red lights in a triangle were spotted hovering in the sky by several Lafayette residents Monday around 8:30 p.m. The sky was clear, but witnesses could not see anything connecting the lights.
The lights made no noise and seemed to hover in the sky while moving slowly from southwest to southeast. They didn't blink. The lights remained in a triangular shape, but the type of triangle changed from equilateral to isosceles to scalene.
Then, the triangle began moving toward the northeast sky when one light extinguished, or zoomed away. The remaining two lights "just turned off and were gone Denver International Airport officials declined to comment on the sighting. But Allen Kenitzer, the Federal Aviation Administration's spokesman for the Rocky Mountain region, said his staff didn't see anything out of the ordinary Monday night.

Weird Wednesday ~ Tree Hugging

Have you hugged a Tree lately?

Hugging a Tree may just improve your health! Actually, just being out in Nature can provide a host of health benefits for everyone, especially children.
Matthew Silverstone, the author of Blinded by Science,  states that the vibrational energy of plants, especially trees, can help alleviate many health issues like headaches, depression, ADHD as well as improve concentration levels and reaction time.
Silverstone explains the reason for this - everything vibrates and different vibrations affect biological behaviors. When we touch a tree, its vibrational pattern affects the various biological behaviors within the human body. Thus bringing those behaviors into a healing alignment.

Trees and Plants also help with the cleansing and revitalizing of all the stored up negativity and stress that humans experience and give that negative energy a place to be absorbed.

Weird Wednesday ~ Einstein and Ghosts

Albert Einstein said that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change from one form to another. When we are alive, we have electrical energy in our bodies. ... What happens to the electricity that was in our body, causing our heart to beat and making our breathing possible? There is no easy answer to that.

Einstein proved that all the energy of the universe is constant and that it can neither be created nor destroyed. ... So what happens to that energy when we die? If it cannot be destroyed, it must then, according to Dr. Einstein, be transformed into another form of energy. What is that new energy? ... Could we call that new creation a ghost?

Grandma Goth & Flossy McGrew's

There's a most unique thrift store in Denver. It's called Flossy McGrew's
(Remember! Click on a photo to enlarge it!)

And the Proprietress of this wonderful establishment is fondly called Grandma Goth.

When Grandma Goth, aka Suelynn Gustafson, took over the family antique business, she expanded the inventory to include more items that tend towards the Dark and Macabre. Sounds like fun, Huh?
And Flossy McGrew's is THE PLACE to go if you are in need of a costume!
Here's a short video of the store.

Weird Wednesday ~ Death Cry of a Carrot

When do carrots actually die?
When they are yanked from the ground?
When they are deprived of water and other vital nutrients?
It has been proven that Carrots die only when they are (1) left out to rot, (2) cooked to 140 deg in water, or (3) ingested in the stomach!

Author Matthew Silverstone has provided scientific evidence that proves that vegetables are not just simple objects but are as sophisticated as most animals and that they behave much like humans.

Scientific experiments have proven that vegetables will emit an electrical charge at the time of death. Thus eating vegetables raw is actually healthier for a person - not only do raw vegetables contain more vitamins and minerals but they emit an electrical output into our digestive tract. The stomach's bacteria would be the first to receive the electrical charge and would react in a negative way. Some scientists state that the electrical stimulation can kill off the bad bacteria and stimulate the good bacteria. Vegetarians are a third less likely to suffer from common digestive disorders; digestive disorders which might be  caused by an absence of an electrical charge from the raw vegetables.

Could there be other health benefits from the eating of 'live' vegetables? Should we cook our food to under 140 degrees? Studies have not yet been done to answer these questions.
I am curious to see the findings.....

Weird Wednesday ~ Denver Int'l Airport

Rumors and speculation abound about anomalies that occur at Denver International Airport.

Let's begin with the horse statue that greets visitors outside DIA. The Mustang has glowing red eyes - quite an eerie site for unsuspecting travelers. Red lights were installed in the eyes so that they might always glow - "to ward off evil spirits" according to airport spokesmen. During the construction of the Mustang, a broken cable caused a piece of the horse to severe an artery and pin the artist to his studio floor where he bled to death.

Then there are the Gargoyles that watch over the Baggage Claim area - to ensure that baggage arrives safely.

Many people believe that the airport in Denver (DIA) is the home base for the New World Order  and it sits upon a giant tunnel network. Other conspiracy theorists believe that these tunnels are  part of a FEMA concentration camp or possibly a home base for an alien Reptilian race. Strange electromagnetic pulses have also been known to generate from the area.

Weird Wednesday ~Leprechauns

I'm going to start a new feature on my blog - Weird Wednesday. Every Wednesday, my post will be about something Weird! Something Odd! Something Unusual! Something Strange!

Since St. Patrick's Day is fast approaching, I thought I'd do today's post about Leprechauns.
According to Wikipedia, Leprechauns are a mischievous, prank playing Irish Fairy. They are a solitary Fairy known for making shoes. And as legend has it, if a Human were to catch a Leprechaun then three wishes can be granted to the Human by the Leprechaun in exchange for the Leprechaun's release. Want to make your own  Leprechaun trap? Check out this site!

And did you know that there is a  National Leprechaun Museum  in Dublin, Ireland?

And better yet, there is a Leprechaun Webcam at an undisclosed location in Tipperary, Ireland. You can read about some of the sightings that have occurred on the Webcam website. Who knows? Maybe YOU will be the next person to see a Leprechaun! Watch the video below - approx. 8 seconds into the video, there will be a blur in the trees in the upper right hand corner.

The European Union has granted Leprechauns a protected zone on Cooley Mountain in County Louth in Ireland. It is supposedly the only part of the County where Leprechauns have been seen.

And Leprechaun sightings are not confined to the Emerald Isle!  The  Boulder, Colorado police searched for a mischievous Leprechaun (Click Here to read about it!) and a Leprechaun has been sighted in Mobile, Alabama of all places! (Click Here to watch that story!)

Do you have any Leprechaun stories (or encounters) to share???
