I remember when the first computers were being used in universities (back in the day when all the data was still being keypunched in on cards), that it was popular to run goofy programs to produce similar art of (for example) the Mona Lisa and Snoopy. It's one thing to run a computer program to do this, but by hand on a typewriter? Impressive!
