Tombstone Art

There is a cemetery in Vermont that is a veritable gallery of granite sculptures. Located in Barre, Vermont, Hope Cemetery is a tribute to skilled Italian monument carvers.

Funny I was just thinking on the way home this evening that this art would be a great Halloween Blog topic! It is really beautiful in person! We went and walked around there one day when we were out yard sale ing, Amazing skill!

Those are really amazing, but can you imagine how "spooky" they would be at night? On Halloween night I'll bet they take on a life of their own! :-))

That is amazing! The one with the chain at the top takes the cake for me...I can't imagine anyone carving those!
