Lakeside in Winter

What a beautiful park! All of the architectural details really make me want to go for a visit, despite not really doing the ride thing. Are they closed in the winter and you guys got to wander about anyway? Just curious because of the bumper car photo. :)

Lakeside is closed during the winter months. Hubby & I along with my son and his fiance met the manager of Lakeside Amusement Park a few weeks ago to take a walk through the place. The "Bride and Groom" wanted to be sure that it was going to be the right place for the wedding ceremony before they put down any deposit money. The manager showed us around - we saw the various pavilions available for the after-ceremony meal, along with seating available and the various spots available for the ceremony.

Those flashes of colour against the snow are brilliant.

I love the park! I can just imagine it in Spring time and summer. How fun. I hope you'll post lots of photos before the wedding and after Jeanne : )

I couldn't help but notice the "pentagram"-looking symbol on the tower in the first photo. Do you know what that represents?

Robin ~ Unfortunately, I don't have much history on Lakeside Amusement Park, but am still searching for more in depth info. As soon as I get it, I'll post it. :0)
