Disclosure?

Chemtrails.

The mere mention of this word will cause a person to either laugh in jest or nod their head in agreement. So, regardless of what a person has thought about chemtrails in the past, they are about to become a reality. Recently it has been announced that a 'geoengineering' program is 'about to start'
Or is this announcement a way of catching up to public knowledge? Click here!  And here!

Should we really be messing with Mother Nature?

Earth's Axis and the Weather

Not sure if you are aware of the fact that the Japanese earthquake in March sped up the Earth's spin by a microsecond and tilted the axis by several inches.

Could this account for the strange weather patterns we've all experienced?

Could this explain why people are acting so wonky?

Did I hear Spring?

I need to give you folks a weather update.... What really happened in January compared to the predictions made???

January on an average is our coldest month with just a little over 3" of rain.

We had quite the extremes this past month. From quite a few above normal temperatures to even more below normal temperatures. But on an average it was colder than normal with slightly more than normal precipitation.

And as for Mr. Groundhog?? Well, he didn't see his shadow when he woke up on Tuesday. Spring may be just around the corner.....

Predicting the Weather ~ With an Onion?

I can remember my Mother using this old method of predicting the weather for the upcoming year.

On the 6th of January, late at night after everyone's gone to bed, cut an onion in half. Separate the rings and place twelve of the 'cups' in a row - January will be on the far left, then February, and so on with December ending on the far right. I personally like to place the cups on a large cookie sheet.

Place 2 tspn of salt in each onion 'cup'. Leave overnight. The next morning look at the salt. How wet or how dry the salt is predicts how wet or how dry that month will be.

** DO NOT talk to anyone from the time you cut the onion until the next morning. **

Another way some folks predict the upcoming year's weather is to make note of the weather for the first 12 days of January. What those days hold in the way of sunshine, temperatures, & precipitation foretell what the upcoming months will be like.

Wanna compare notes in June???

Clouds

Haven't we all pondered clouds at one time or another? Remember laying in the grass as a kid, staring up at the sky and seeing images in the clouds? I have. And I still do! Well, maybe not lay in the grass, but recline in the chaise........

Clouds can tell you a lot of things. Whether a storm front is moving in, or if it is windy or foggy. A while back a blogger friend, Grace of Going to Graceland wrote about some unique clouds.
Well here is some info on two other types of unique clouds.

Morning Glory Clouds are an enigma.

Noctilucent Clouds can now be seen further and further from their range at the polar regions.

Winter Weather

I wanted to share some photos I took around my yard and in the WildWoods after the recent winter storm. We were very lucky here and did not receive the ice nor cold temperatures like other areas of the state (or even country). Here's wishing warm thoughts to everyone affected.
