Ghosts, Spooks, Haunts
One of the Art Groups to which I belong on eBay is called HAGS - Halloween Artists Gathering Spot. The Group has had a new theme every week beginning the end of September and continuing to October 25th. The members will create something in keeping with the current theme and then list the item(s) on eBay.
This week's theme is Ghosts/Goblins. I created three Fairy Doors with Ghosts for my submissions. All three of these Little Doors for the Fae Folk are currently listed on Ebay.
Even the Fae Folk celebrate Halloween! Happy Haunting!!

Halloween ATC Swap
I recently participated in an ATC Swap. The theme was Halloween. My Swap Partner was Jessica and she sent me the most wonderful Halloween ATC. I just love her use of beads. And the card nicely compliments my pumpkin make-do (which I made). Thank you Jessica! And thanx to you Dani for hosting the Swap! I just love Swaps! Don't you?
For those out there who don't know what an ATC is, I'll try and explain it. ATC stands for Artist Trading Card - these are miniature pieces of art that measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", the size of a card from a card deck. ATCs have become quite popular in recent years and many are highly collectible.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to post a picture of the ATC which I made and sent to Jessica. It's entitled Party Shoes ~ A little witch in her good black skirt and her new purple shoes ready to dance the night away!
Party on......

Lil' Bits about Candy Corn
- October 30th is National Candy Corn Day
- One serving of candy corn contains only about 140 calories
- Candy corn has 3.57 calories per kernel
- More than 35 million pounds of candy corn will be produced this year. That equates to nearly 9 billion pieces -- enough to circle the moon nearly four times if laid end-to-end.
- Halloween accounts for 75% of the annual candy corn production
- A cup of candy corn has fewer calories than a cup of raisins.
- Candy Corn was invented by George Renninger and produced by the Wunderlee Candy Company in the 1880's. In 1900, the Goelitz Candy Company, now Jelly Belly Candy Company, started mass producing the candy, but, due to the lack of machinery, it was only made available seasonally from March to November. Its recipe has remained unchanged.
- Candy corn isn't just for Halloween there is also:
- Reindeer corn for Christmas (red, green, and white)
- Indian corn (it's chocolate and vanilla flavored)
- Cupid corn for Valentine's Day (red, pink, and white)
- Bunny corn for Easter (pastel-colored)
But my All-Time Fav is still Halloween Candy Corn!

Black Cats on Parade
I admit it! I'm a Halloween Junkie and a BIG Cat Fan! We won't discuss how many cats currently have the pleasure of living in my house (my Fav will soon have a post about him!). But I'm straying from the subject...
My two latest creations are Black Cat Parade Staffs. The first is a whimsical fellow with a party hat and the other is a scary cat with a fierce roar .
Both of these cute kitties are currently listed on eBay.

In the Begining...
There was Candy Corn.
My obsession with Candy Corn began when I was young. I don't know what it is about the wonderful tri-colored sweet, but it can be quite addicting. No one can eat just one kernel! Is it the size? A person can't quite get the full flavor by eating just one of those little delectables! In fact, the different colors have different flavors. (Just like brown cows give chocolate milk) Don't you agree?
And now that wonderfully, whimsical Halloween Treat has inspired a little dude!
