I'm breaking from the norm today and am going to have a week long Art Feature.
On my recent trip back to the 'Top of the World', where Hubby works and resides, I was lucky enough to be able to view the Snow Sculptures in Breckenridge.
Over the coming days I will highlight a few of these sculptures and some interesting tidbits about the Creators and Competition.
I love snow and ice sculptures! There was recently an ice sculpture festival here in Edmonton, but our winter has been so freakishly warm that it was a challenge to keep them frozen. The carvers had to work at night when it was below zero and then shelter the ice from the sun during the day. When they finally got them all carved, the temperature plummeted to -30. Sheesh!
