This week I'm taking to you to Vail. Vail is located in the Gore Range, approx. two hours west of Denver, Colorado. The town of Vail was built as a base village for Vail Ski Resort which opened in 1962. It is the second largest ski mountain in North America.

Tomorrow we'll take a walk through the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens located in Vail.
Wow, look at all the power lighting up that small ski village!

ReplyDeleteJust look at those amazing pictures! Wow!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! My cousin just moved to Denver this summer and we are hoping to fly out for visit this year or next. Winter is what we'd prefer so the kids can see what REAL snow is...and Vail looks like a perfect destination. I'm curious if any of the Ski Resort towns have Snow Tubing since we aren't Skiers. We'd love to stay in a cabin that is near to snow tubing, ice skating and horse drawn sleigh rides! Such a beautiful place there, thanks for sharing! :o)
