ReplyDeleteBeing a Funeral Director/Embalmer Apprentice, I can REALLY appreciate these caskets! Where I was formerly employed, we had a beautiful flat-top, wood inlaid casket that would be a beautiful coffee table! But, unfortunately, I couldn't convince the owners to come down on the lovely price of $25,000! Oh well!

I have driven by this museum many times but never stopped in. Seems I'm always on the way to somewhere else. It's only a 30 minute drive though, perhaps some day I'll stop.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....me thinks a giant tennis shoe coffin is a bit extreme...ha! If I were going to go that direction with a coffin styled like a representing object for myself....I think I'd have to make mine a giant Pumpkin! :o)
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of the Amazing race and this past week one of their challenges was to deliver coffins like these,,they are very cool.
ReplyDeleteCaskets are almost as expensive as cars! Funny thing... they do not transport the departed to where they want to go!
