I am an avid reader! I will have one, sometimes even two books, going at the same time. But new books are expensive and the local library is quite small. So I have found a great source for acquiring 'new' books without the horrid expense. I use Swap.com to swap out the books I no longer want. I have been able to complete several collections this way and have found several new authors as well. A person can also swap cd's, dvd's, and video games. Look me up if you decide to use (or perhaps already use) the site!

Recently I saw the Norwegian movie, Trollhunter. A fun movie, even though it was subtitled. A group of students investigate a series of mysterious bear killings, but learns that there are much more dangerous things going on. They start to follow a mysterious hunter, learning that he is actually a troll hunter.
Some of the best movies I've seen have subtitles, so thank you for the recommendation. I may have to wait for this to appear in the shops, as its unlikely to be shown at the cinema in the U.k.

I used to be on swap.com back when it was Swaptree. While I enjoyed the service, I didn't like that I was 'allowed' to have up to 9 swaps at a time with no way to decrease that number to something more manageable, without saying no to someone's swap request which was a no-no, and the shipping started to be sort of murderous.

That TrollHunter movie sounds great, I've seen so many things with subtitles at this point it feels sort of normal for me, lol. I'll see if I can find it on Netflix.
Danni, For someone, like myself, who lives quite far away from a bookstore, Swap.com has been great. I don't mind paying the shipping charges because it is so much cheaper than buying a book new (or even used in some cases) and if I were to order the book over the web (like from B&N or Amazon), then I would still have to pay for shipping. You might contact the 'powers that be' in charge of Swap.com and see if you can put a low swap limit on your account.
